Winter And Christmas Tour

Day 1: Arrival to Vienna, Munich or Salzburg Airport – Salzburg (Austria)

Arrival to Vienna, Munich or Salzburg airport and transfer to Salzburg with possible additional sightseeing in case of an early arrival.

Day 2: Salzburg – Hallstat – Heiligenblutt – Badgastein

Start you day with sightseeing of Salzburg, famous for it’s baroque style historic part of the city. Visit historic part of the city, Hohensalzburg castle , Salzburg Cathedral, Mozart’s birth house, Palace of Mirabelle etc. Continue to Hallstat lake and Salzkammergut, the UNESCO listed site, which is often said to be the most beautiful lake in the World.

Continue to Heiligenblutt, postcard like beautifull city, with amazing nature and views, and further on to Badgastein, a popular ski and thermal resort for a night of winter paradise.

Day 3: Badgastein – Bled Lake – Ljubljana

Proceed to Slovenia’s main highlight, Lake Bled, also known as the Pearl of Alps. Visit Bled castle for beautiful panoramic views of Julian Alps and Bled lake, board traditional Pletna boat and visit Bled island with it’s Church of Assumption. Continue to Ljubljana, the capital city of Slovenia, with charming Christmas illumination and Christmas market.

Day 4: Ljubljana – Postojna – Poreč – Rovinj

Visit Europe’s largest and most visited cave, Postojna cave. Continue to an old Istrian town, Porec, and visit it’s Euphrasian Basilica, one of the best examples of early Byzantine architecture in Mediterranean region and part of UNESCO World Heritage. Continue to a postcard-like beautiful city of Rovinj, said to be the most beautiful town on the Istrian coast.

Day 5: Rovinj – Pula – Opatija – Rijeka – Zagreb

Start day with sightseeing of Pula, the most important city on Istria Penninsula since ancient Roman times. Continue to Opatija for a lunch and a walk on Opatija’s famous Lungo mare seaside walkway. Continue to Zagreb, capital city of Croatia, also called “the city of hearts”, which in December hosts Zagreb Christmas market in festively illuminated downtown area.

Day 6: Zagreb – Maribor – Graz – Hundertwasser Therme

Visit Slovenia’s second biggest city Maribor, located in renowned winegrowing region, featuring the world’s oldest vine and one of biggest underground wine cellars in Central Europe. Continue to Austria for panorama sightseeing of Austria’s second biggest city, Graz. Visit the old city, Schlossberg and Clock tower, Murinsel and Eggenberg castle. Continue to one of most unique thermal resorts in the area – Hundertwasser Therme, built in particular style of famous architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser.

Day 7: Graz – Semmering Railway – Vienna

Board the Semmering railway train to Vienna, first railway in the World to be inscribed into UNESCO Heritage. Keep your eyes open while riding this railway with 14 tunnels and 16 tunnels. Upon arrival to Vienna you can either take part in half day tour of Vienna, spend some time on your own, or visit the nearby Parndorf designer outlet mall, said to be the best outlet in Austria.

Day 8 Vienna Departure

Depending on your departure time, enjoy free time in Vienna or visit one of nearby sights, such as Wachau valley along Danube river.
