A hidden gem, open from May until October, is located in the Herzegovinian region of Bosnia and Herzegovina, close to Trebi\u017eat River. The area is protected, but you are more than welcome to visit this natural wonder or even go swimming there. In the summer, you can even opt for rafting. Close to the waterfalls, a number of other attractions, including an old mill and a sailing ship, are located.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why do we encourage you to put this into the itinerary:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Less crowds<\/li>\n<li>Good pricing (no more than 5 EUR in high season)<\/li>\n<li>Unique<\/li>\n<li>Breathtaking nature and amazing cultural features<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Where are they located and how to incorporate them into the itinerary?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The waterfalls area only 43 kilometres south of Mostar. This makes them suitable for daily trips from Dubrovnik, Split or Sarajevo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The funny part \u2013 the naming of the waterfalls<\/strong><br \/>\nNow, here\u2019s the thing. If you\u2019d understand the language, you\u2019d probably start wondering what the waterfalls have to do with the cows (kravice originally means little cows). We assumed that this is just a coincidence, until we heard a story that long before this place became a tourist spot, a little cow feel in the river uphill. They assumed it drowned, but then they found it at the bottom of the waterfall \u2013 and hence the name.
