Scandinavia in Autumn

Why you should visit Scandinavia in autumn?

Also for Scandinavia, summer is high season for travel. If you opt for travelling to this region in autumn, you can take advantage of lower prices on flights, accommodations and even meals. With regards to the weather: no worries, it’s still cool and pleasant, meaning you will have enough possibilities to make the most out of outdoor activities – of course, you’ll need to take a bit of chill in the air into account now and then, but that’s something an experienced traveler considers in any time of the year, right?

Another reason to travel there in autumn are vivid autumn colours – if you’re in love with these magical colours, make sure to do the trip in the early October.

And then, there’s something else: in October, the days in Scandinavia start shortening – all in all, this is something travelers do not usually like: it’s much easier exploring the country during the day. But hey, in Scandinavia this means the Aurora borealis, also called the Northern Lights (otherwise mainly associated with dark winter nights) starts to appear across the sky. And that’s definitely one of the highlights when visiting Scandinavia.
