Malta

is one of the smallest countries in Europe but it has one of the greatest density of historic sights in the world. From unique prehistoric temples, to Roman Catacombs and medieval towns, it is possible to experience a bit of the greatness of the Knights of Malta. Incredible rock formations and the multi-coloured sea are examples of the many natural sights this mostly rocky country also has to offer.

Central Malta is a perfect blend of historic centers and some of the island’s most spectacular sceneries. You can visit remarkable medieval frescoes, ancient catacombs and one of Europe’s largest church domes. Mdina stands tall on the hills of Central Malta, hidden from modernity by its mysterious golden-stone Arabic walls.

BLUE CAVE & BLUE LAGOON

malta_bluelagoonThis stunning grotto is also one of the most accessible blue caves in the world. It has been used as a location for the 2004 movie Troy with Brad Pitt.

The fascinating Blue Lagoon with its aquamarine waters is located in Comino, a 3.5 square/km wide, car-free island. Perfect place for nature lovers.

GOZO

The northernmost island is thought to be the legendary Calypso’s isle of Homer’s Odyssey. The locals don’t bother locking their doors as they enjoy living in the safest place in Europe, in a much more relaxed atmosphere compared to its bigger and busier neighbors. A very pretty island with its fairy-tale hillocks, grand churches, glittering coves and its sculptured coastal cliffs.
